Join Ruby for an early morning gathering among the forests and moorland of Great Ayton, welcoming the sunrise with foraging, fire, drumming, a sound bath and wild food.

As autumn gives way to the darker months, we’ll take time to remember those who came before us and reconnect with the land beneath our feet. A morning to quieten, reflect and nourish ourselves, sharing warmth and company in the wild.

Walk into the Morning

We’ll begin before sunrise, walking through the forest and taking time to notice the changing season as daylight returns.

Along the way, Ruby will introduce seasonal plants and their uses, weaving foraging and nature connection into our journey through the landscape.

Gather Around the Fire

Our fire circle will offer space to reflect on our ancestors, the people who have shaped us and the stories we carry.

You’re welcome to bring a small natural offering, such as a stone or fallen flower, to place around the fire in remembrance. You may also bring a few words, a poem or a line that feels meaningful to share with the circle.

Drumming and Sound Bath

Share in drumming and a sound bath as part of the morning’s gathering, with time to listen, pause and settle into your surroundings.

If you have a drum or another musical instrument, you’re welcome to bring it along.

Wild Food and Warming Drinks

Enjoy wild food tasters and drinks together, bringing seasonal flavours into our gathering and offering a chance to rest and connect.

Please let us know about any dietary requirements or allergies when booking.

Time for Yourself

Bring a journal if you’d like to capture thoughts, memories or words that arise during the morning.

There will be space to reflect and opportunities to share. You’re equally welcome to listen and enjoy being part of the circle.

Terrain and Accessibility

This five-hour outdoor gathering includes walking on forest pathways, boggy and uneven ground, and a steady ascent. The terrain is challenging and requires a suitable level of fitness and confidence walking on rough ground.

The route is not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Please contact us before booking if you’d like to discuss whether it will suit your access needs.

There are no toilet facilities on the route, so please be prepared for a wild wee if needed.

What to Bring
