Rediscover the healing remedies that can be found in nature
There is something deeply satisfying about stepping into the hedgerows, gathering plants with intention, and transforming them into simple remedies that have supported people for generations.
This full-day workshop gives you the time and space to move beyond simply identifying medicinal plants. Together we’ll explore the practical skills needed to confidently begin creating your own wild home apothecary.
Throughout the day, Cheryl will guide you through the fascinating world of hedgerow medicine, sharing how different plants have traditionally been used to support health and wellbeing, while also helping you understand when and how to harvest them responsibly.
As we forage together, you’ll learn how to recognise a variety of medicinal species growing in their natural habitats and gain confidence in safely identifying them.
Midway through the day, we’ll gather to enjoy a delicious homemade lunch prepared by Cheryl, celebrating seasonal wild flavours and giving everyone time to relax before the afternoon’s remedy-making workshops.
Following lunch, we’ll gather for a series of hands-on workshops where you’ll make a collection of beautiful herbal preparations to take home with you.
During the day you will create:
- Your own herbal tincture
- A nourishing infused oil maceration
- A healing herbal balm
- A seasonal hedgerow syrup
Along the way you’ll learn why different preparations are used, how to choose the most appropriate extraction method for different plants, and how to continue making remedies long after the course has finished.
Whether you’re completely new to herbal preparations or looking to build your confidence, this relaxed and practical day offers the perfect introduction to creating your own natural remedies from the wild plants growing all around us.
