Somewhere along the way, many of us forgot we belonged to the earth.

We move too fast.
We spend more time looking at screens than skies.
We live disconnected from the seasons, from community, from our bodies, and often from ourselves.

Litha Wild Reconnection is an invitation to return.

WHERE:

Secret location – Sunderland

(Full address given upon booking)

WHEN:

Saturday 20th June 2026

10am-4pm

Why Litha?

Litha marks the summer solstice – the height of light, abundance and growth.

For thousands of years, our ancestors gathered at this point in the wheel of the year to celebrate nature’s fullness, honour community, and reconnect with the rhythms of the earth.

In a world that often pulls us away from ourselves, these seasonal gatherings offer something many of us deeply crave – grounding, meaning, belonging and rest.

This day is for you if…

You feel overwhelmed, burnt out or constantly “on the go”

You crave deeper connection with nature

You want to slow down and nourish yourself properly

You miss meaningful community and conversation

You feel drawn to seasonal living and ancestral traditions

You want space to breathe, reflect and reconnect

So much more than just foraging…

Throughout the day, Cheryl will gently guide you through grounding practices designed to help regulate the nervous system, awaken the senses and deepen your connection to the natural world.

Together we’ll explore:

Seasonal foraging and wild plant connection

Forest bathing and mindful nature immersion

Guided breathwork and meditation

A nourishing gut-healing wild food picnic

Herbal drinks around shared conversation

Storytelling and seasonal folklore

A reflective sharing circle beneath the trees

Cheryl brings a deeply grounded and welcoming approach to her work, blending practical wild food knowledge with gentle nature connection practices, storytelling and seasonal traditions.

Her gatherings are designed to help people feel safe, seen and able to fully exhale.

Seasonal Foraging & Wild Plant Connection

We’ll explore the landscape together, learning to recognise some of the edible and medicinal plants growing in abundance at midsummer. Cheryl will share practical identification tips, traditional uses, folklore and ways these plants have supported people for generations.

This is a gentle and accessible introduction to reconnecting with the wild world around us – slowing down, noticing more, and discovering just how much nature quietly provides.

Forest bathing

Through guided forest bathing practices, Cheryl will invite you to slow down and fully immerse yourself in the natural world through your senses.

There’ll be space to breathe deeply, listen to birdsong, notice the movement of the trees and allow your nervous system to soften away from the noise and busyness of everyday life.

Seasonal Wild Drinks

Throughout the day, you’ll enjoy a selection of seasonal herbal drinks crafted with wild and medicinal ingredients.

These small moments of warmth, nourishment and shared conversation are woven deeply into the heart of the gathering.

Gut Healing Wild Food Picnic

We’ll gather together to share a nourishing seasonal picnic made with wild and gut-supportive ingredients.

Expect vibrant, seasonal food inspired by nature and ancestral ways of eating – designed to nourish both body and soul beneath the open sky.

(Please let us know about any dietary requirements when booking.)

Listening circle

Later in the day we’ll gather for a gentle listening circle.

This is a space where everyone is invited to share thoughts or reflections that want a place to land – or simply listen.

There’s no pressure to speak. Being present in the circle is enough.

Listening circles create a rare opportunity to slow down and truly hear one another. Many people find these moments surprisingly powerful and grounding.

It’s a reminder that connection isn’t only with nature, it’s with each other too.

Storytelling & Seasonal Folklore

Together we’ll explore the meaning of Litha and the summer solstice, reflecting on how our ancestors honoured the turning of the seasons and their connection to the land.

Through storytelling and seasonal folklore, we’ll reconnect with the deeper rhythms of nature and ourselves.

Guided Breathwork & Meditation

Cheryl will gently guide you through grounding breathwork and meditation practices designed to help calm the nervous system and bring you back into the present moment.

No experience is needed – simply come as you are.
