Wild Women Facilitator and Fungi Tutor
Hi I’m Jo and a verified nature nut. I have run nature groups and conservation studies at the various schools I have worked in and hosted fungi walks in my local community. I have also assisted on fungi courses for a leading foraging company based in my native South West.
I am an enthusiastic bird watcher and animal tracker, although, I won’t say I’m an expert. Just a watcher of the ways.
I have taught meditation in schools, private groups for adults and children, 1:1, and used to run courses in a local college.
I love writing poetry and stories and have done since I was a child, mostly focused around nature and the growing understanding of self with all the trials, trauma, and beauty this brings.
I have always had a spiritual outlook on life, connecting to nature on a deeper level. I journey with plant spirits if I feel called to do so and find meaning in the signs and symbols that nature leaves for us, allowing these to reflect on my journey through life
My day work is as a school counsellor and I hope to one day run “Wild Therapy” sessions out in nature.
I believe we can all make a difference in this world by learning to understand and accept ourselves. Nature is a great teacher so I spend as much time as I can with the beauty of the natural world.
