“If you would like to discover the abundance that nature has to offer, go for a walk in the countryside with this amazing woman. I had no idea of the incredible healing properties that the plants around me have to offer until Lucy showed me and explained in a very easy, down to earth manner. Tasting the plants around us as we walked was wonderful. Lucy’s knowledge is incredible and her love of foraging inspirational. Thank you, Lucy.”

Hi…Iโ€™ve only just seen your post advertising your wild forage walks at Guisborough but sadly this one was dated July! Will you be doing any other (non virtual) walks this year at the same location?

    1. Hi Kelly, I have two spaces left for August 30th, which is this Sunday. You can book via the website http://www.wildrootsforaging.co.uk/shop and scroll down to Outdoor Guisborough Walk. Hope to see you there!

    2. Ah sorry I have one space left!

Had an amazing walk, learnt a lot in a couple of hours. Lucy has such knowledge and passion to share. Thank you for the inspiration. You are bringing back lost knowledge and rekindling our connection to nature.

We had our first foraging walk a few weeks ago and our life hasn’t been the same since!!

Lucy taught us so much about all the wild edibles around us in a really easy and manageable way. We didn’t leave overwhelmed but just so interested in learning more.

Since then we have been using all that we have learnt on our family walks and are excited that my 5 year old is getting involved. I am so glad that we chose to join and we will definitely be back for another. Thanks Lucy!

  4. Lynn Woods says:

    Hi
Would you be available to take a foraging walk for a couple of hours on Saturday 19 Aug please? We are happy to pay for a private session for two ladies. Thank you

    1. Hi Lynn, this sounds great! But unfortunately Iโ€™m running an all day course that day! If you want to send me an email, maybe we can work together to find a date that suits is all โ˜บ๏ธ wildrootsforaging@outlook.com

Hello everyone nice to meet you. Is there a foraging course you can recommend for a guy? I have anxiety and I think the fire circle etc sounds very lovely. Thank you mark

I came and totally enjoyed the wild fermentation course. So much enthusiasm from Lucy and her volunteers.
It felt amazing to be in a room with like minded people swapping ideas and links. And the wild lunch was phenomenal. It has taken my foraging to a new level.
    Thank you Lucy.
I’d well recommend attending, even if you have to travel. I stayed in saltburn by the sea the night before and thoroughly fell in love with the place. ๐Ÿฅฐ

I joined Lucy on my first ever foraging trip in May I have to say I really enjoyed it. I have always loved the outdoors, the views the smells etc…but I have never really “looked”. I’m now seeing our beautiful area I’m seeing everything in a new light. Thank you lucy

Hi Lucy. I was on the coastal foraging course last weekend where you showed us how to ID poison hemlock. Today I was on a trip with colleagues checking out a SEN school’s new outdoor area when I spotted them lurking. All the ID features you taught me were there and it was confirmed as hemlock. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to inform their staff and it’s all thanks to you for sharing your expert knowledge. I’d joined your course as a treat for myself and for – not expecting to have learned so much vital info and to have been able to use it so quickly. Thank you!! I highly recommend your foraging walks and look forward to joining you on more in future!

  9. I went on my first walk in 2022 , I loved it that much I continued many more walks and workshops with Lucy .. Every one is unique and mind blowing, the thought and effort that is put into these adventures definitely needs the word spreading so donโ€™t delay and get booked in you wonโ€™t be disappointed..

    1. Thank you lovely!!! ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐ŸŒฟโœจ๐Ÿงบ
